Hawkshead Guiding and Friends Shoebox Appeal

–In 2016 we made over 900 shoeboxes with the help of community groups from Hawkshead,Coniston,Grasmere and Trefoil Guilds from throughout Cumbria south. The boxes were sent to Belarus and Romania with Teams4u,Dave Cook who first started the Appeal in 1990 organises the delivery

we also have sewing days, knit and natter group and a Coffee Day the first Tuesday of each month April -October. More volunteers are welcome.

Park House (Trust)

Park house has 31 bunk beds for visiting Scout and Guiding units to stay. The building is also used by local Scout and Guide units. www.parkhousehawkshead.co.uk

Guides-Brownies-Rainbows

Volunteers are also welcomed by any of the Guiding units please got to ww.girlguidingcumbriasouth.co.uk where you can register an interest on the Girlguiding website. We welcome all girls from age 5 upwards and volunteers from age 14 years. The Adult Leadership Qualification is a recognised qualification and is helpful when applying for jobs or going to University, we also have an Arts Award which gains points for University applications.
